A Quick Wow Herbalism Guide

Wrath of the Lich King, the new World of warcraft expansion, brings an increase in maximum level to 80, a new continent, new talents and powers, new creature, raids, and dungeons, and even a new Hero Class, the Death Knight.
A new profession being introduced with Wrath, which actually went live with the 3.0 patch, on Oct. 14, is Inscription. This skill allows the scribe to write glyphs that will provide permanent buffs to characters.
What has this got to do with Herbalism? 5 herbs at a time are required to mill the inks used to write the scrolls and glyphs. With many people taking the inscription skill there will be a huge demand for those herbs on the Auction House. That's where you come in. Your Herbalism skill will be a superb money maker and/or a direct source of materials to drive your own Inscription skill.
First Off, Some Notes:
You'll need to be at least level 58 to get your Herbalism skill leveled to 375, because you'll need to be able to go to the Outlands to get your training and to access the higher level herbs. Once Wrath of the Lich King goes live you will be able to get higher level training in Northrend (you will need to be at least level 68) and drive your skill to 425.
A very cool addon to use, that will help your herb gathering, is Gatherer. Download it for free (donate if you want to) and read the documentation. This addon will mark on your map the various herbs (and ores and boxes) that have been found by other players previously. It does this with the help of a database that you can download with the addon. Load the database and you'll have detailed maps of the locations of all the herbs you will need to level your skill.
Google "Gatherer Addon" and "Cartographer Addon" (for better maps) to find where to download these mods and also to get instructions for installing them.
Mounts help a lot with travel and the level 60 Epic Ground Mount will save lots of time, while the fling mounts (only in Ootlands, at level 70) make herb finding much easier.
Herb Picking 101:
In whichever area you happen to be you will want to get your skill as high as possible before moving on. If you don't do that you will find many herbs in the new area that you just won't have the skill to pick.
When you're in any particular zone set your mini-map to show herbs and do loops around the area. The herbs will show as yellow dots on the map.
Once you have your apprentice Herbalism skill go to your favorite starting area and start gathering Peacebloom and Silverleaf. I went to Eversong woods, but these herbs are all over the place in all the Horde and Alliance starting areas.
Once the herbs in your area aren't given you any skill improvements you'll want to go to the next higher zone. I went to the Ghostlands, but the Barrens. Westfall, and Loch Modan are good areas, too. As I mentioned above, if you move on too soon you won't have the skill to pick anything.
Most of the herbs on this list are the ones you will need for Inscription, so you can level this skill and build your herb stash at the same time. Or sell it all and make quite a bit of gold.
To start with you will be picking Peacebloom, Silverleaf, and Earthroot (skill 15,) until you are at least skill level 50.
The 10-20 area herbs, found in the Ghostlands, Durotar, Silverpine, Westfall, and Redridge, are: Peacebloom, Silverleaf, and Earthroot, Mageroyal (requires skill 50,) Briarthorn (70,) Stranglekelp (85 and take a water breathing potion,) and Bruiseweed (skill 100.)
In the 18-30 areas (Duskwood, Hillsbrad, and the Wetlands) you'll find Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Stranglekelp, Bruiseweed, Wild Steelbloom (115,) Gravemoss (120,) Kingsblood (125,) and Liferoot (150.) The Grave Moss can be found in and around, you guessed it, graveyards.
Next up are the 30-40 areas: The Alterac Mountains or Arathi Highlands are next. Here's what you'll find: Stranglekelp, Bruiseweed, Wild Steelbloom, Gravemoss, Kingsblood, Liferoot, Goldthorn (170,) Khadgar's whisker (185,) and maybe Wintersbite at 195. Stranglethorn Vale, The Badlands, and Swamp of Sorrows are other good herb picking places at this level.
In STV and the Badlands you'll find Purple Lotus (210,) Badlands has Firebloom (205,) and the Swamp has Blindweed (235.) Firebloom (205.)
The 40 -50 zone: I went to The Hinterlands next, and then to the Eastern Plaguelands. In the Hinterlands you'll find Purple lotus (skill 210, in the troll ruins,) Ghost mushroom (caves, 245,) Golden sansam (260,) and Sungrass at 270. Killing the local trolls will also result in some Wildvine drops.
The last area in the Old Word (Azeroth) that you will need to work is the Eastern Plagelands. You will find a variety of herbs there and will probably hit 300 before doing a full loop of the zone. You'll find: Arthas' tears (220,) Sungrass (270,) Golden sansam (260,) Dreamfoil (270,) Mountain silversage (280,) and Plaguebloom (285.)
Ok, now you have your 300 skill and you're ready to hit the Outlands. Get Master Hebalist when you hit your side's main town in Hellfire (Thrallmar or Honor Hold) and then do a few loops around Hellfire Peninsula and then Zangamarsh. Unless you're hunting specific herbs you won't need to go beyond Zangamarsh to hit 375.
Various Motes (of life, shadow, etc.) sometimes appear when picking Outland herbs.) that will come with your Outland Herb picking, particularly from the Felweed. Fel Lotus (which sells for a nice price) also has a small chance to drop from any of the Outland herbs. It's most commonly seen off of the Felweed, Dreaming Glory, Ragveil, and Flame Caps.
Now go pick some flowers!

World of Warcraft Professions – Leveling Enchanting Tips

Enchanting in World of Warcraft can cost a fortune, especially if you don't know what you're doing. It's a higher level profession, which means you should probably wait until you're a more experienced player before trying to tackle it. When I first started playing, I picked enchanting as my very first profession, and I've made quite a few mistakes. If you're feeling brave and want to choose it at your first profession also, then good luck. Hopefully you won't make the same mistakes I did.
Here are a few tips that will hopefully help you:

In the low levels, it's rather difficult to acquire green items from drops. You will have to do a lot of grinding, unless you have enough gold to buy the dust and essence at the auction house. The best places to grind are areas that contain humanoid mobs. Try killing the ones that are at least two or three levels above you, and your chances of getting green drops will increase.

If you want to level up your enchanting quickly in WoW, you can buy all the dust, shards, and essence you need at the auction house. You can supplement your income with a gathering profession, such as herbalism, skinning, and mining.

You will need a lot of storage. This is where additional characters come in handy. Create a second or third character on the same server as your first. Send them some of your enchanted material to store in their bank accounts. If you plan on spending some time leveling up your 2nd or third character(s), give them professions too and send extra gold to your main character.

As you level up, you'll find that the material and rods become more and more expensive. Hopefully, your other profession will provide you with enough gold to buy everything you need. You could always continue grinding against mobs a few levels higher than you as well. If you need help, ask a high level guildmate or friend to help you.

Sometimes you can just buy the green/blue/purple items at the auction house for a cheaper price than the dust, shards, and essences. Compare your options before buying any enchanted material or items to disenchant.

Decide on what type of enchantments you'd prefer to place on your OWN armor, weapons, clothing, and items. Make a note of what materials are needed for those enchantments, and sell all the rest that you won't need. If you want to save a few extras to help a WoW buddy out, you can do that, but still sell some that you don't need.
Hopefully these tips will help you level up your enchanting some. Follow these and you will less likely make costly mistakes. This can be the most rewarding profession in World of Warcraft, so make sure you get the best out of it!

My Honest Secret Gold Guide Review
Since I have been playing world of warcraft for quite some time, I really have a great deal of reputation in this milieu. As a result, people usually come to me asking if they should use gold guides, or not. The Simple answer is: Yes: This particular question really drives me crazy sometimes. Many people don’t think girls can play world of warcraft. I've looked at, and read all of the guide and the bonus material and compared them to other gold guides and bonus material out there. I think the quality of her guide, and the bonuses she gives with it, really makes her guide one of the most reasonably priced. Moreover, I used some price comparing websites, and found that the secret gold guide was the most reasonably priced warcraft guide if you are taking into account the Price and Quality Relationship.
Conclusion
Most gold guides definitely do not have the quality that the secret gold guide has. Moreover, they do not have the quantity of bonus materials that Hayden is offering with her Secret Gold Guide: and even if they do, it's really some lame stuff that not many will benefit from.
From a guide's perspective, I found the Secret Gold Guide more usable and easy to understand than other gold guides that I've seen or used. All the tips are freshly written and so unique. Hayden Hawke's Secret Gold Guide is one of the best guides I have found on gold farming with world of warcraft. I don’t say this so often, but I think her guide is really worth the money!

WoW Blacksmithing Guide - The Best WoW Guides

World of Warcraft offers a dozen professions, each with their own pros and cons, and each with a slew of different options and time consuming acts that will take you to the peaks of gold production. Blacksmithing is a primary service profession that allows you to forge metal bars and create weapons and armor with the correct tools and reagents.
Because this gear is vital to weapon classes such as the Warrior or Paladin, Blacksmithing is a good choice for those characters. Not only can blacksmiths create new weapons, they can enhance the power of existing weapons with stones and other reagents, as well as craft keys to unlock special chests.
Because blacksmithing counts in the total tally of two professions you are allowed, mining is an obvious choice as a second profession. Not only are you going to need all of the many minerals that mining gathers for you, but they can be expensive and purchasing them when you don’t have to just doesn’t make much sense. Blacksmithing can be incredibly expensive as is without the addition of gem and ore purchases. For that reason, you’ll want to specialize in mining as well and have those items at your disposal readily.
However, despite the fact that blacksmithing is such a great profession for making hard to find items, weapons and armor, it is not a very profitable profession. The items made by blacksmiths often sell for less than their source materials and for that reason a blacksmith can lose a lot of gold if they are planning on selling their goods. Dropped items are more rare as well and for that reason tend to be more expensive. However, for those Paladins and Warriors out there, making your own armor is an amazing way to save gold in the long run.
Once a blacksmith reaches level 200 and the character reaches level 40, many more options open up in the profession. This is where you’re given the option to start specializing in specific categories of blacksmithing. There are quests involved in doing so, but afterwards you can become an Swordsmith, Axesmith, or Hammersmith. You are however stuck with that choice not matter what for the duration of your character’s lifespan. You cannot unlearn it at any time and pick up another specialty. This applies only after you complete the specialization quest though.
Blacksmithing is a great opportunity for those with the right character class to craft their own weapons and armor and enjoy a special aspect of the game in which they can both hunt down minerals and turn those minerals into items that other people want. It’s not very profitable, but for the right person, it can be very useful.
