World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role playing game or MMORPG that has been set in the equally expansive Warcraft universe. The Warcraft universe began in the nineties with the release of Warcraft I for the PlayStation platform. Years later, gamers around the world saw the evolution of the third-person strategy game to a venerable strategy game for the PC platform.

Perhaps the most memorable game after Star Craft in the 2d realm is Warcraft itself. Before WoW, players form around the world mastered the complex game architecture of Warcraft III, which had been expanded with the well-known Frozen Throne expansion pack.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is the latest installation of Blizzard Entertainment to the already hefty World of World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade. The game is an addition to the already rich environments and complex gaming system that composes WoW.

Wrath of the Lich King may be just the thing to wheat the appetite of WoW players looking for a new character class and improved game play. Wrath of Lich King features a newer character class: the death knight.

For those who have been playing Warcraft for a long time (at least already playing when Warcraft III emerged in the market) the death knight hero class emerged with Arthas- the used-to-be good Prince of the Human race who eventually destroyed those around him with the search for the Blade. Arthas eventually returns to his father the King's kingdom and kills his father, thus beginning his career as the infamous Death Knight under the sway of the Undead legion.

The death knight hero class has powers similar to necromancers, thus continuing the older story line of the death knight getting his identity and powers from the Undead.

The expansion pack also features an improved and beefed up character development system. There are two magic numbers with the WoW expansion Wrath of the Lich King: 55 and 80. Level 55 is when you get to customize your own death knight and level 80 lets you explore a veritable minefield of new abilities and powers.

The game is improved significantly with the addition of another Realm: the Northrend realm. According to Warcraft lore, Northrend is the continent of the deadly Lich King. According to feedback from beta testers, indeed the Northrend realm is tougher than the other realms, adding to the anticipation of finally coming face to face with the Lich King himself.

According to Blizzard, the new realm Northrend is open for visiting for any character level or type. However, the realm had been designed for characters who have progressed to at least level sixty eight.

As for the dungeons, there will be dungeons in Northrend and these are comparable to those that have already been made available to players in the Burning Crusade.

For the destruction dimension of the expansion pack, the addition of siege weapons would truly make the WoW experience better- because now you can tear down destructible elements of the environment.

Player versus Player (PvP) is the term used for fighting against other player controlled characters. PvPing is split up into the following: Arenas, Honor (Battlegrounds and world killing), zone objectives and dueling. Arenas

If you want to play arenas, the first thing you’ll have to do is to create an arena team. You are able to fight in arenas with 2, 3 and 5-manned teams. Each team starts with an arena rating of 1500. You will then gain or lose rating, depending on whether you win or loose the arena match you play. The amount of rating you gain or lose depends on the opposing team’s rating. If you fight against a team with a much higher team rating than yours, you will gain a lot of points if you win and if you lose the rating loss will be small. Once a week you will receive arena points based on your team rating. You use these arena points as currency to buy equipment.

Honor

You get honor for killing the opposite faction, no matter where you are, except Arenas. There are certain places where you get extra honor for completing an objective. These places are called battlegrounds. When the objective is complete, the battleground is over, and the teams will receive bonus honor. There are a total of four battlegrounds:

• Warsong Gulch: This battleground has a capture the flag style of game play, where the objective is to capture the enemy flag and bring it back to your base three times. You get bonus honor for each capture and if you’re the first team to reach three captures.

• Arathi Basin: This battleground has a ‘capture and defend’ style of game play, where the objective is to capture the as many of the five bases and defend them. Your team gets objective points every second increasing with the number of bases you have. You get bonus honor for the number of objective points you are able to get in a round well as winning. You win by getting 2000 objective points.

• Alterac Valley: In this battleground your goal is to push your way to the other faction’s base, and kill the enemy General. On the way, you’ll have to deal with bunkers, towers and several groups of guards and enemy “mini bosses”. You get bonus honor for destroying bunkers and towers, killing enemy “mini bosses” and for winning (killing the enemy general).

• Eye of the Storm: This battleground is a mix of Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. The main objective is to hold as many towers as you can, much like Arathi Basin and then score points by bringing the flag in the centre of the map to one of the towers your team is in control over. You get objective points for holding towers as well as capturing the flag. You win by getting 2000 objective points.

WoW Mining Guide Secrets WOTLK Update - Where and How to Find the Ever Elusive Titanium Ore

WoW Mining in WotLK is a great way to continue to build up that gold warchest. If you've mined in WotLK you should know that the most abundant ore is the Saronite ore. You can find a bunch of places to mine it and sometimes you get lucky and you get a Titanium node. Though much of getting Titanium is based on chance, there are few strategies you can employ to have a greater chance of getting a node.

The value of Titanium ore comes in its necessity of making epic Jewelcrafter and Engineer recipes. That, along with its rarity make it really expensive. So how can you get it? Well there is no surefire method but there are some strategies you can employ. Here's a few.

The first is the most obvious; Canvass the zone hoping that it pops up on your minimap. It's not the best method but if your patient it will show up. This is best done in a small zone like Sholazar. Mine the area and hope that when you get a respawn it is a Titanium node. It can take up to an hour but you will eventually get one.

Another way to find Titanium nodes is to farm Wintergrasp. Yeah, I know what your thinking and I agree, there aren't many Saronite nodes there. But that is the point, though the Saronite nodes are few, the percentage of nodes that spawn Titanium metal are much higher here. Remember that you can't fly over Wintergrasp, so you need a land mount to scout the area. It's also a PVP area so be careful when you scout or else you could get attacked quite often. My favorite times are very early morning, my chances of success are greatly increased because it's relatively empty (of course that might also depend on your server).

Don't get discouraged because Titanium is rare, what you need to remember is that when in high demand it can bring in up to 500 gold. Good luck!

Because this gear is vital to weapon classes such as the Warrior or Paladin, Blacksmithing is a good choice for those characters. Once a blacksmith reaches level 200 and the character reaches level 40, many more options open up in the profession. This is where you’re given the option to start specializing in specific categories of blacksmithing. There are quests involved in doing so, but afterwards you can become an Swordsmith, Axesmith, or Hammersmith. You are however stuck with that choice not matter what for the duration of your character’s lifespan. You cannot unlearn it at any time and pick up another specialty. This applies only after you complete the specialization quest though.

Blacksmithing is a great opportunity for those with the right character class to craft their own weapons and armor and enjoy a special aspect of the game in which they can both hunt down minerals and turn those minerals into items that other people want.
