WoW Mining Guide Secrets WOTLK Update - Where and How to Find the Ever Elusive Titanium Ore

WoW Mining in WotLK is a great way to continue to build up that gold warchest. If you've mined in WotLK you should know that the most abundant ore is the Saronite ore. You can find a bunch of places to mine it and sometimes you get lucky and you get a Titanium node. Though much of getting Titanium is based on chance, there are few strategies you can employ to have a greater chance of getting a node.

The value of Titanium ore comes in its necessity of making epic Jewelcrafter and Engineer recipes. That, along with its rarity make it really expensive. So how can you get it? Well there is no surefire method but there are some strategies you can employ. Here's a few.

The first is the most obvious; Canvass the zone hoping that it pops up on your minimap. It's not the best method but if your patient it will show up. This is best done in a small zone like Sholazar. Mine the area and hope that when you get a respawn it is a Titanium node. It can take up to an hour but you will eventually get one.

Another way to find Titanium nodes is to farm Wintergrasp. Yeah, I know what your thinking and I agree, there aren't many Saronite nodes there. But that is the point, though the Saronite nodes are few, the percentage of nodes that spawn Titanium metal are much higher here. Remember that you can't fly over Wintergrasp, so you need a land mount to scout the area. It's also a PVP area so be careful when you scout or else you could get attacked quite often. My favorite times are very early morning, my chances of success are greatly increased because it's relatively empty (of course that might also depend on your server).

Don't get discouraged because Titanium is rare, what you need to remember is that when in high demand it can bring in up to 500 gold. Good luck!

This WoW mining guide will aid you to speed up your levelling from 1-450.

Let’s commence with a fast description of what WoW mining is all about:

Mining is a gathering profession that goes best with engineering, blacksmithing or jewel-crafting as some of the mining material you gather is required for these professions recipes.

Assome other players in World Of Warcraft are possibly to impatient or could not be bothered with actually mining the materials themselves, this means you can gather up the resources or materials and sell them to other players via the auction house. This can be a nice way of making some gold.The materials or items you will collect  while mining in World Of Warcraft consists of the following: Metals, stones and gems. Rare gems are needed by blacksmiths and engineers and jewel-crafters.Some monsters also drop mining items when killed.

Do not ignore the time portion that it takes to gather materials in a gathering profession such as mining. It can be very time consuming to level up your mining skill so many players just choose to rather buy the required mining materials or mats from the auction house.You are going to have to get your hands a little dirty though if you are not flush with gold as the buying the mining materials option will seriously need oodles of gold. Remember to read my gold making tips on my WoW gold guide page mentioned at the beginning of the article.

To start mining you will need the following:

1.Go locate a trainer and get trained in mining
2.Go buy a pick from your local merchant
3.A pair of the least expensive gloves you can come across and then get them enchanted with a +5 mining skill enchant which should cost around 2 gold..
4.An engineer can construct you a mining helmet or you can purchase one from the auction house. This will give you +5 to your mining as well.
5.You need to locate a mineral vein to start gathering the ore.

A short note: The gloves and helmet are optional but I recommend that you acquire them as it betters your chance while mining.

A quick mention of the mining trainers locations:

Horde players go to Vengeance Landing, Howling Fjord and locate Jonathan Lewis.
If you are playing the Alliance then head on over to Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra and look for Fendrig Redbeard or you can search for Grumbol Stoutpick in Valgarde, Howling Fjord.

OR Both factions can head on over to Dalaran and find Jedidiah Handers in the Magus Commerce Exchange.

Mining Leveling Guide 1 450 - Leveling Mining to 450 the fastest way possible!

To level Mining the fastest way possible you need to know these basics:

1. Equipment – Mining Pick, Fast Mount, Storage space.

Let's go a little in depth. You should buy a mining pick from any mining supplier. Ask a guard for directions in major cities of Azeroth.

A fast mount! Yes! At 20 you get your first land mount = GET THAT! It will make your life easier. At 40 you get your epic land mount. Anyway, always stay on top of your game. A fast mount will help greatly when trying to leveling the mining profession.

Storage space. Buy a few Runecloth Bags or Netherweave Bags or even Frostweave Bags. If you're doing mining runs you don't want to stop every 3 minutes near the mailbox or at the bank to deposit the ores. 3 Empty Runecloth+ Bags will suffice for any hardcore leveling miner.

I hope you liked this mining guide until now. Without further ado, let's continue. =)

2. Ores, Veins, Locations – Basics.

Vanilla WoW Ores:
copper, tin, silver (rare spawn of tin), iron, gold (rare spawn of iron), mithril, truesilver (rare spawn of mithril), thorium, rich thorium
The Burning Crusade – Outland Ores:
Fel Iron, Adamantite, Khorium
Wrath of the Lich King – Northrend Ores:
Cobalt ore, Saronite ore, Titanium Ore

Of course, there are other ores for questing like Icendicite in Searing Gorge or that Alliance ore east of Hammerfall, in Arathi Highlands but we don't need those when leveling mining.

3. The battle-plan is simple:

Mine one area and if your mining skill is high enough you can move on to the next area.
For example if you mined Durotar ‘til 75 you can move on to Barrens. If you mined Barrens ‘til 125 you can move on to Thousand Needles and so on.

That's why a fast mount and lots of storage space helps you. If you dedicate a few hours of mining you'll reach 450 very fast. Trust me, I leveled Mining 4 times now and I know what I'm talking about!
