The Skinning Profession For Wow Feral Druids

The Professions you decide on for your Druid are going to have a pretty big impact on your characters gold, gear and success. For those players that do not take full advantage of the professions in the game will, almost without exception, have less gold and much crappier gear than someone who works at their professions. Many times those that give up on their chosen path have become frustrated or overwhelmed with the requirements of their trade. For newer players this is even more prevalent.

The skinning profession is a fantastic choice for any Druid build in the World of Warcraft and especially for Feral Druids. This trade is quick, super easy to level up, provides a very nice income stream and goes perfectly with Leatherworking. On top of that just by leveling up your skinning skill your Feral Druid will gain an increased critical strike percentage! Interested yet? Okay lets take a closer look.

Its quick: When comparing skinning to other gathering professions such as mining or herbalism youll find skinning much faster. Where in the other two youll find yourself running around looking for ore and flowers the skins will come to you! Your Druid is going to be running around wacking animals and beasts of all kinds for his entire life, right? Most of the animals can be skinned in some manner (even fish!) providing you materials to sell or use in leatherworking. Rather than running around looking for mobs to attack and looking for ore or plants combine the two and save time.

Its easy: Youre going to be knee deep in dead animals anyway, right? And youre going to pause to search and loot all those animals anyway, right? With skinning you simply take down a mob, loot it like you normally would and then, without even moving, skin it in a second or two. Tons of mobs can be skinned including normal animals, dragons, fish, sheep and more. In fact its so easy that once you get the rhythm of it your skill will rocket up before you know it.

Provides income: This trade will put gold in your pocket in a couple of ways. The first and easiest way is simple to gather a bunch of leather or hide and sell them to other players in the Auction house. Leather and hides will stack in your bags so it is very easy to gather lots of each and sell in a big bunch. If you also do Leatherworking you can create amror kits and pieces to sell for even more cash. Its almost too easy.

Critical Bonus for Feral Druids: There is an often ignored and forgotten bonus that comes with the Skinning profession called Master of Anatomy. This is a passive skill only available to Skinners and comes with five ranks. The higher your skill the higher your critical bonus contribution will be from Master of Anatomy. Any form of critical percentage boost is a huge benefit especially when its basically free! Take a serious look at Skinning as a profession choice. I think youll find it really easy, very useful, pretty profitable and the perfect profession for a Druid. Thanks!

Druids And Professions In The World Of Warcraft

What professions do you use with your Druid? What are the best professions if you're toon is balance Balance, Resto or Feral? Are you going to focus on PvE or PvP or both and how can your professions be used to best boost your choice. This is a big topic and if you ever want to start some fun on a WoW Druid forum just ask the question "What are the best professions for a Druid?" and watch the sparks fly.

I'll cover three basic setups that might be helpful for your Druid. Keep in mind that while you can only practice two of the "major" professions at a time you can always retrain to a different one (of course you'll start the new profession with a skill level of zero) if you need to. Whatever you choose to do be sure to start training on your professions ASAP. If you wait too long your profession skill will lag behind your toon level and therefore be less useful to you.

Your profession choice will reflect your overall playing style. Professions can get detailed and involved when it comes to looking for patterns, items, ingredients and materials (materials are called "mats" in-game) for specific items. Do you enjoy gathering and hunting for different items to create something? Or would you rather be in a cave somewhere bashing monsters?

If you approach professions simply as a method of gathering gold rather than getting pleasure from actually making items you may want to look into a couple of the gathering professions: Herbalism, Mining and Skinning. It's pretty straight forward - you gather a bunch of material "X" and sell it in the auction house. No need to gather a ton of different items and you can do these "on the fly" as you are out hunting either solo or in groups.

For the Restoration or Balance Druid a combination of Herbalism and Alchemy can be very beneficial. The ability to mix up a wide variety of potions can be a huge boon to your character a far as health, buffs and your mana pool and you can make a few bucks on the side selling some in the AH. This is not the ideal profession setup for a Feral Druid as, while in Cat or Bear forms, you can't use potions.

An obvious choice for all Druids is the Skinning/Leatherworking setup and therein lies some of the drawback. Lots of players practice this profession so there are often lots of items for sale therefore the sale price for standard leatherworking items is low (supply vs demand). However! This is something that you can make use of very early and once you get your skill level up you will be able to make some really good items, including Armor Kits. Armor kits are good stuff and you can make decent coin selling them to other players.

Your choice of profession will have an effect on your experience in the World of Warcraft. All of these will have a positive impact on your character increasing not only your capabilities and toughness but also will help you explore the huge world that is Azeroth! Have fun and get going!

Discovering the Best Wow Professions for You

Do you know what the best professions are for your character? Why do you want one? Do you want to make money? Are you crafting for fund and profit? When you answer these questions, you can begin choosing th best profession. Are you looking for racial professions, or class professions? You may not know it, but some races get bonuses on different professions. In addition, some classes are better suited to some professions than to others. These are all things you should consider when choosing the best World of Warcraft professions for your character.

Racial Craftskill Bonuses:

Gnomes get +15 to Engineering skill. This can make Engineering the best choice for your Rogue or Warrior Gnome. If you are Mage or Warlock, I suggest sticking with tailoring or alchemy and herbalism. Those professions are better suited to the class skills. 

Draenei gets a +5 racial bonus to Jewelcrafting. This can be a good profession to level later, after your class is at 80, and you want to level something just for fun. Pair it with mining and go grind out your own ores. This craft is expensive to level, especially if you buy all the mats on the AH.  You may want to run this craft if you are Warrior, or Paladin. The boosts you get for yourself will be great.

As a Tauren, you get a + 15 racial bonus to Herbalism. This means you can pick up the ever-elusive earth root from the beginning. You can find it in most starter areas, and its herbalism skill 15+ to harvest. You should consider Herbalism with your Tauren if you want to make money. This would be great for a Shaman to pair with Alchemy or Tailoring.

If you are wanting the bonuses, these may help sway your decision of which are the best WoW professions for you.

When deciding which profession in World of Warcraft is best for you, you need to consider what you will be doing with each profession and how it will help you achieve your goals in the game. Before even considering professions, you need to know what you want out of your professions. Once you have decided your intentions, now you can look at what profession will give you what you need the most.

Types of Professions

There are 2 types of professions to look at
Crafting professions are great for items for other crafts, or to sell to other players.  Engineering, Blacksmithing, Alchemy, and Tailoring are examples of production professions.

Gathering professions will let you gather many items for your craftskills. Many believe these are the best WoW professions for making money, because you can sell everything without having to craft or spend any other time or money on them. You can use these for yourself, trade them to other players, sell them at the Auction House, or Sell them to NPC merchants in the game. Trading and selling at the Auction House seem to be the most common way to distribute your gatherings. 

Getting the best profession can be one of your most important decisions to make. If you know what your characters skills are, you will be able to do this quickly.Good luck, and enjoy leveling your WoW professions.
